Week Five

This week has been so fun! The Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade students have been creating their "Dream Room" designs based on the book I Wanna New Room. Check out some of their cool drawings. They enjoyed sharing their designs with each other. They're getting better at communicating with their tablemates!

The 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students completed a Marshmallow Challenge. With just 20 pieces of uncooked spaghetti, a yard of tape, and a yard of string, they had to build the tallest free-standing structure that would hold a marshmallow. Some groups walked away with a successful build, and others could come up with some great ways to improve their design. This was a great engineering activity that built their teamwork skills. Look at the fun we had!
