February's theme is the Winter Olympics! Students have LOVED creating bobsleds and snowboards (with a snowboarder) and racing them down a steep slope. Using household materials like straws, notecards, popsicle sticks, and tape, the Rocky Mount Engineers raced to the finish line!
Along with the Olympic theme, the Rocky Mount Foundation is raising money for our STEM program. We raised over $35,000 so far, so we get a fun STEM activity in class after February break. Students will use their favorite program, Minecraft, to create and build an Olympic course/event of their choosing. I can't wait to see what they come up with! Thank you to those who've donated!
